タイタノボアは絶滅したヘビの一種で、タイタノボア属の唯一のヘビです。
骨格の構造から判断すると、それはボアコンストリクターの近しい親戚だった。
それは、現代のコロンビアの領土にある61.7-58.7百万年前の沈殿物から知られている。Serrejonの町の近くの石炭鉱山でヘビの化石の残骸が発見された。
ティタノボアは長さ13メートルの重さで、重さ1トン以上。体で最も広い部分は直径1メートルだった。12

Titanoboa is a species of extinct snake, the only one in the genus Titanoboa.
Judging by the structure of the skeleton, it was a close relative of the boa constrictor.
It is known from sediments 61.7–58.7 million years old in the territory of modern Colombia. The fossil remains of a snake were discovered in a coal mine near the town of Serrejon.
Titanoboa could reach 13 meters in length and weigh more than a ton. The widest part of her body was one meter in diameter. 12
Judging by the structure of her teeth, she ate exclusively fish.
