Titanoboa is a species of extinct snake, the only one in the genus Titanoboa.

Judging by the structure of the skeleton, it was a close relative of the boa constrictor.

It is known from sediments 61.7–58.7 million years old in the territory of modern Colombia. The fossil remains of a snake were discovered in a coal mine near the town of Serrejon.

Titanoboa could reach 13 meters in length and weigh more than a ton. The widest part of her body was one meter in diameter. 12
