Quarters are obtainable by completing wave 15. Depending on difficulty, you get more quarters!
To obtain Shards, you need to complete Hard+ Difficulty or do other gamemodes that reward them!

Gotta Sweep : Sweeper, uses itself as weapon, pushes enemies away and deals a lot of damage to them.
Playtime : Jump Rope Master, uses Jump rope as main weapon, has lowest HP but highest damage.
1st Prize : Healer, can heal allies by hugging them, can push enemies away.
